Very cool shots. I've always loved images of train tracks. These would look great in Sepia too.

More caption fun tomorrow morning when I'm at work and can't read Potter.

Cool shots, love the perspectives here! Very impressive train in the first one...

Don't you mean "bowheemithize?" Now there's an obscure pop culture reference for you.

Nice shots! Trains fascinate me because there still so active today, yet so foreign to my everyday life.

Have a great week!

I don't get Mark's pop culture reference. I hope he sheds light on it soon.

Photo #1:
Big Blue sighed as he trundled off the side rail, heading for Docking Bay 1522. Things just weren't the same since Thomas got into that altercation with Sir Topham Hat.

Photo #2:
Grissom: "I think we'll have the murder solved pretty quickly this week team: they left some tracks."

I love to ride trains!

I have a special WW this week! It’s a pic of my raffle prizes for this Saturday’s Blogathon 2007 to benefit VH1 Save The Music Foundation. I hope you’ll stop by and get yourself a raffle ticket!

Happy WW!

The story - Walking distance from my office are train tracks. Each week I look around for things to photograph and for some inexplicable reason, the trains never crossed my mind until yesterday. Which is odd concidering how much I love other people's pictures of trains.

Stephanie - Thanks. I toyed with a more monochrome and may still do that for myself, but I just liked the blueness of the locomotive and couldn't quite bring myself to take it away.

Simon - I'm glad to see you're policing my posting times accurately. It would have been sad to think that I could post early and not have a ragin' Canadian posting comments about it.

A funny image for your first caption...but I couldnt' suppress a groan for the second one. I imagine you sitting in your basement actually making the rimshot noise as you typed that ;)

Mark - uh....huh?

Simon said...

Not so much a rimshot noise as a self-satisfied snicker... which amounts to pretty much the same thing.

Sincerely,
The Ragin' Canadian!
